According to the statistics released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE), in November 2012 France's new industrial orders received, excepting heavy tranport vehicles, were almost stable month on month with a decrease of just 0.1 percent. In October, new industrial orders were up 1.4 percent compared to September. On the other hand, in November export orders increased by 2.8 percent as compared to the previous month.

In November, the new orders index for the French domestic metallurgical industry decreased four percent as compared to the previous month, following the month-on-month increase of %4,2 percent in October, while the new orders index for the manufacture of metal products except machinery decreased by 2.7 percent as compared to October, after the 2.9 percent month-on-month increase in October 2012. Meanwhile, France's new orders index for the automobile sector rose by 2.7 percent in November last year as compared to the previous month, following the month-on-month increase of 2.1 percent recorded in October.
