Business Line reported that Steel Authority of India Ltd has registered a growth of 8% during November 2012 compared to the same month last year.
The company in a statement said that the public sector company produced 0.972 million tonnes of saleable steel during November.
During April to November 2012, SAIL produced 8.2 million tonnes of saleable steel, a growth of 2.3% over the previous year.
SAIL said that techno economic parameters during April to November 2012 fared better, with 2% improvement in coke rate and energy consumption and 3% improvement in BF productivity compared to the same period previous year.
